Metalcraft Technology Inc. is a manufacturer of precision sheet metal parts serving clients in Canada and the U.S. We are located in Coquitlam, BC, and currently looking for a Welder to join our team. Only candidates who live in Metro Vancouver will be considered for this position.
As a welder, you will:
- Perform TIG welding operations on various metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including TIG and MIG welding, torches, and other tools
- Clean and prepare surfaces for welding by removing rust, dirt, grease, or other contaminants
- Position and secure workpieces using clamps, fixtures, or other holding devices
- Weld components together according to specifications, ensuring proper alignment and weld quality
- Inspect finished welds for defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments as needed
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
Required Qualifications:
- 1+ years of welding experience with aluminum and stainless steel (preferred).
- Proficient in TIG and MIG welding techniques and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
- Familiarity with different types of metals and their properties.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Knowledge of WorkSafeBC welding safety practices and procedures.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Must own CSA-approved steel-toe boots (other PPE provided by the company).

- Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
