We are currently looking for a Laser Punch Operator Assistant to join our Punching Department.
Only candidates who live in Metro Vancouver will be considered for this position.
As a Laser Punch Assistant, you will:
- Assist Laser/Punch Operators with daily production activities.
- Load and unload sheet metal materials and finished parts.
- Support machine operations by preparing materials and organizing parts according to work orders.
- Perform basic quality inspections using measuring tools such as calipers and gauges.
- Sort, label, and prepare parts for the next stage of production.
- Perform basic deburring and part cleanup as required.
- Follow production instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 6S principles.
- Learn laser and punching machine operations with support from experienced operators.
- Support other departments and production activities as required.

Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication environment is an asset.
- Ability to read and understand basic work instructions and drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
- Willingness to learn CNC laser and punching equipment.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to safely lift and handle sheet metal materials.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- CSA-approved steel-toe boots are required (other PPE provided by the company).
